Sarah Cox Mitchell, 87, of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Percy Napoleon Cox and Mary Lou Calhoon Cox, was born on Monday, August 15, 1938 in Green County and departed this life on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She retired from Edmonton Manufacturing as a production line worker after 32 years.

Her husband of 67 years: C.W. Mitchell of Greensburg

2 sons & daughters-in-law: Charles Phillip & Charolette Scott Mitchell of Summersville and Mike & ReeShana Mitchell of Greensburg

2 brothers: Harold Cox of Georgia and Ed Cox of Green County

4 grandchildren: Gabriel (& Kara) Mitchell of Summersville, Luke Mitchell and Parker Mitchell of Greensburg, and Emily (& Clint) Gibbs of Richmond

1 great-grandchild: Kaylor Gibbs of Richmond

Funeral Service: Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1:00pmCT at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church

Burial: Ebenezer Cemetery

Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Friday at the church
