Donald Watson Dabney, 86, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Hershel Dabney and Christine Watson Dabney, was born February 12, 1939 in Taylor County, KY. He passed away at 3:05 A.M., Friday, December 12, 2025 in Campbellsville.

Mr. Dabney was a faithful Christian whose life was a reflection of his strong beliefs and devotion. He was a member and deacon of Campbellsville Baptist Church. He served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army Reserves and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Donald was a proud alumnus of Campbellsville High School and the University of Kentucky, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

On February 10, 1962 he united in marriage with Barbara Dean Dabney, who preceded him in death on June 9, 2014. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kristi Dabney Peterson, on March 8, 2019.

1 son: Donald Dabney Jr. & wife Susan of Campbellsville

5 grandchildren: Paige Dabney-Hunt & husband Andy; Don M. Dabney & wife Reagan; Peyton Dabney; Trey Peterson & partner Dana; and Kendall Peterson

3 great-grandchildren: Augustus Hunt, Charlotte Dabney, and Lilith Peterson
