Herbie Dickens, 87, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Edgar Dickens and Leona Bogges Dickens, was born March 10, 1938 in Hazy Creek, West Virginia. He died at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, December 13, 2025 in Campbellsville.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of 3 Trees Church. Herbie was the former owner of Lakeview Motel in Campbellsville and a carwash in Cleveland, Ohio prior to moving to Campbellsville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and he was loved in return by all his family and friends. Herbie enjoyed woodworking and had a fondness for old cars.

His wife of 68 years: Dorothy “Dot” Jackson Dickens
2 sons: Harvey Dickens & wife Michele and Mark Dickens & significant other, Jan Wade of Campbellsville
3 grandchildren: Sarah Mattingly, Danielle Manning, Chloe Dickens & her sister Millie Hendrick
3 great-grandchildren: Tatem Mattingly, Mia Manning and Campbell Manning
2 brothers & 1 sister: Eddie Dickens, Leonard Dickens and wife Jerri and Francis Jarrel-Dickens
Special sister-in-law: Phyllis Dickens
Special brother-in-law: Bob Shuman

Many other relatives & friends
He was also preceded in death one granddaughter, Allison Victoria Dickens; and two brothers and two sisters: Donald Dickens, Eugene Dickens, Reba Petry and Juanita Fowler. _____________________
