Donnie Ray Thompson, SR, 71, of Greensburg, KY was born on January 24, 1954 in Green County, KY to the late James Amos Thompson and Lela Thornton Thompson. He departed this life on Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Springview Hospital in Lebanon.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Jacob Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed construction. He retired from Buzick Construction Company in Bardstown, KY. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Jimmy Thompson, Edwin Pat Thompson, Margaret Sue Tompson and Parita Faye Thompson.
