Russell E. “Rubo” Jefferson III, 57, of Hodgenville, KY, the son of Kathleen Marie and David Pouncey, was born April 10, 1968 in South Carolina and departed this life on Friday, December 5, 2025 at his home. 
 

He was a maintenance worker for McDonald’s and was a jokester and enjoyed woodworking and scratching lottery tickets.

6 children: Raeanna Jefferson, Ally Jefferson, Cody Bray & wife Amanda, Rebecca Ray, Jacob Graham and Davion Graham

1 sister: Aimee Shirley

1 brother: Ronnie Pouncey

7 grandchildren: Addison, Lucas, Nova, Tayvon, Gunner, Ella and Bradley

1 niece: Breanna “Boo” Pouncey

Russell was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Wayne Jefferson in infancy.

To honor the wishes of Russell, cremation rites were entrusted to L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville. His cremated remains will be buried in the Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia, South Carolina.

No public services are scheduled at this time.
