Roy Edward Hackle, 77, of the Fry community of Green County, KY and Bradenton, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025. He was born on May 29, 1948 in Moultrie, Georgia, a son of the late Jesse Hackle and Dorothy Butler-Hackle.
Roy lived a life marked by dedication to service and a passion for community.
Roy's notable career spanned over 30 years with the Manatee County Sheriffs Office, where he earned respect and admiration for his commitment to law enforcement and public safety. His professional journey was complemented by his educational achievements, including his graduation from the esteemed FBI Academy, which equipped him with the skills to excel in his role as a deputy sheriff.
In addition to his distinguished career, Roy served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS America. This experience not only shaped his perspective on life but also deepened his patriotism and commitment to his country. He was a member of the James L Pruitt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5813, Greensburg, KY.
Roy was a devoted member of the Bayside North River Church and the Living Word Faith Center in Greenburg, Kentucky, where he actively contributed to the spiritual growth of his community. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life, inspiring those around him.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters: Shirley Bennett and Pee Wee Pasciak; and a brother, James Wesley Hackle, whose legacy he carried with pride throughout his life.

5 sisters: Geraldine Williams, Glenda Hancock, Diane Tovor, Blue Hackle, and Debra Banks (Tim)
9 grandchildren & 13 great-grandchildren

Memorial Service/Burial: Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:00amET at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Florida with Full Miliary Honors.
