Bonnie Wooley, 88, of Elk Horn, KY, daughter of the late Darlis Thelbert Cox and Viola Garrett Cox, was born September 15, 1937 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 11:57amET on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in Campbellsville. 

 

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. Bonnie was a homemaker. Whether it was working in the fields or driving a farm truck, she dedicated her life to her family. She was a great mother and loving grandmother.

 

She united in marriage to Shirley Wooley December 25, 1955 and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2014.

 

SURVIVORS:

2 sons & 1 daughter: Shirley Wooley & wife Tina and Bonnie Wicker & husband Larry of Elk Horn; Ronald Lee Wooley & wife Lucy of Campbellsville

Daughter-in-law: Donna Wooley of Elk Horn

14 grandchildren: Terry Louise Smith & husband Matt of Washington State, Angie Ellis & significant other M.J. Parker of Campbellsville, Adam Wooley & wife Shawna of Campbellsville, Jason Wooley of Elk Horn, Rachel Purvis & husband George of Campbellsville, Richard Wooley & wife Ashley of Campbellsville, Alan Wooley & wife Tori of London, Ryan Elder of St. Francis, Erica Hagan & husband Jason of Raywick, Thomas Wooley of Elk Horn, LeKisha Hensley & husband Donnie of Carrollton, Rachelle Wooley of Lebanon, Cody Wicker & wife Terri Ann of Campbellsville and Logan Wicker & wife Mylea of Campbellsville

Bonnie was preceded in death by two sons: Roger Keith Wooley and Donald Thelbert Wooley; a grandson, Michael Thelbert Wooley; one great-grandson, Grayson Wooley and brothers and sisters: Orvin Cox, Ray Cox, Bernice Lawson, Thelbert Cox, Fern Tungate, Corine Brooks and Chloe Cox in infancy.
