G.L. Wise, 87, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Omer Wise and Lizzie Jane Hardesty Wise, was born August 19, 1938 in Marion County, KY. He died at 5:48 A.M., Monday, November 10, 2025 in Campbellsville. 

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. G.L. was a retired foreman with the Taylor County Road Department and a life-long farmer. He had also worked in the tobacco warehouse in Lebanon for forty years.

His wife of 60 years: Phyllis Wise of Campbellsville

2 daughters: Janice Chappell & husband Bobby and Latricia Speer & husband Mark of Campbellsville

4 grandchildren: Robin Smith & husband Kyle, Jessica Paris & husband Jacob, Brittany Speer & fiancé Tyler Frogge, and Matthew Speer and fiancé Madison Thurman

4 great-grandchildren: Robby Smith, Kyler Smith, Layla Paris and Gage Paris

G. L. was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters: Chester “Bill” Wise, Earl Wise, Carl Wise, Donald Wise, Aileen Harrison, Nannie Livers, Opal Mae Wise and Maudie Rafferty.
