Walter Ettel, 91, of Clarksville, Indiana, son of the late Edward Lewis Ettel and Grace Truman Huffman Ettel Blum, was born April 30, 1934 in Clarksville. He died at 12:30 P.M., Monday, November 3, 2025 in Louisville. 

He professed faith in Christ and worshipped at Crossroads Community Church. Walter was a retired electrician maintenance foreman for United Technologies.

He united in marriage to Virginia Berry June 16, 1952.

His wife: Virginia Ettel of Clarksville, Indiana

1 son & 3 daughters: Terry Ettel & wife Donna, Karen Stone & husband Rick, Barbara “Babs” Hurst & husband David, and Ginger King & husband Ray

6 grandchildren: Rick Stone & wife Amanda, Tiffany Marsh & husband Ryan, Loriann Quinn & husband Eric, Rachel Ettel, Douglas Ettel & wife Sarah, and Kaycee Stone & husband Shawn Rigney

14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren

1 brother: Malcolm Ettel and wife Charlene

In-laws: Roy Berry, James Berry & wife Nelda, and Doyle Berry & wife Joyce
