Joseph David Rowe, 80, Campbellsville, KY

 

Joseph David Rowe, 80, was born on January 22, 1945 in Burkesville, KY to the late William Rowe and Ermine “Allen” Rowe. He departed this life on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the age of at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.

 

Joe was a faithful member of the Fannie Chapel C.M.E. Church where he served on the Christian Board of Education, the Stewart Board, as Treasurer of the church, and sang in the choir. He did this until he was no longer able due to his illness. 

 

Besides his father and mother, Joe was preceded in death by his siblings: Nelson Rowe, Allen Rowe, William Rowe Jr., Rondall Rowe, Mary Quisenberry, Martha Moorman and Barbara Rowe.

 

SURVIVORS:

His wife of 42 years: Flossie Hazelwood Rowe

2 daughters: Yvonne Gunn (John) of Floyd Knob, IN and Kendra Weathers (Curtis) of Frankfort, KY

1 son: Joseph Eldridge (Chantee’) of Indianapolis, IN

4 grandchildren: Jon and Jayla Gunn, Corrion Hazelwood, and Micah Eldridge

Sister-in-law: Barbara Rowe of Atlanta, GA

Special niece: Marsha Johnson of Lexington, KY

Other nieces, nephews, relatives & a host of friends

 

Funeral Service: Friday, November 7, 2025 at 12:00pmET at Fannie Chapel C.M.E Church with Rev. Dewayne Golightly officiating

 

Burial: Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery

 

Visitation: Beginning at 10:00amET on Friday at the church

 

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Fannie Chapel Church in the memory of Joseph Rowe. Donations can be made at the funeral home. 

 

Hayes Brothers Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY is in charge of the arrangements.
