Joseph Ray Kessinger, Sr., 45, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of Mary Whelan Kessinger and the late John Gilbert Kessinger, was born May 6, 1980 in Louisville, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in Louisville at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital. 

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

His children: Joseph Kessinger & wife Cynthia, Damon Kessinger & companion Nicole Pelston, and Kaden Kessinger

1 brother & sister: John Whelan Kessinger and Mary Lobb

7 grandchildren: Jennifer, Brynlee, Leah, Beau, Joseph Oliver, Jesslyn and Jesse

2 nieces: Trinity and Malea Lobb

A host of other relatives & friends

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Zena Kessinger and a grandchild, Bentley.

The family chose cremation and no services are scheduled.
