Jackie Lynn Luckey Thompson, 73, formerly of Green County, KY passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Baptist Health-Richmond in Richmond, KY after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 25, 1952 in Brawley (Imperial County), California, a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Luckey (originally of Stockdale, Texas) and Geneva Shirley (originally of Mell Ridge, KY).

She was raised in Green County, KY and was a 1970 graduate of Greensburg High School. Jackie had been a resident of Madison County since 1995, and had worked as an electronics technician. Her last employer was Raytheon, a U.S. defense contractor. Jackie was of the United Methodist faith. She enjoyed participating in warm water exercise classes at the YMCA as long as she was able.

2 sisters: Tina Mattingly of Pekin, IN and Shandra Tietz of Shoreline, WA

1 step-sister: Denise Mattingly of Clarksville, IN

2 step-brothers: Danny Mattingly of Sellersburg, IN and Larry Mattingly of Mt. Washington, KY

Numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-brother, Ralph Mattingly, of Louisville.

There will be no formal services at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Madison County Humane Society.
