Andrew Adams Rakes, 63, of Greensburg, KY was born January 3, 1962 to the late Bobby Neal and Gladys Francis Pittman George. He departed this life on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg.

He was of the Catholic faith, obtained a bachelor’s degree and was a retired pharmacy technician at UK Hospital.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Andrew Rakes II; and one brother, William Jason Rakes.

5 grandchildren: Crista, Adam, Luke and Daniel Copeland all of Naples Florida, and Gracie Copeland of Summersville, KY

Burial: Bennett Cemetery in the Gabe Community of Green County

Visitation: Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 5:00pm-8:00pmCT and Thursday after 7:00amCT at the funeral home
