David L. Bunnell, 80, of Hardyville, KY, son of the late Sydney W. Bunnell and Judell Pemberton Bunnell, was born on Saturday, July 28, 1945 and passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, September 19, 2025 at his home. 

David was a proud United States Army veteran, having served his country with honor during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he continued his life as a dedicated truck driver, a life long farmer, and a fixer of all things. He was known for his strong work ethic, steady hands, and generous spirit. He had made a profession of faith and attended the Zion Baptist Church.

His wife of 57 years: Janice Logsdon Bunnell of Hardyville

1 daughter & son-in-law: Bontina & Allen Haynes of Hardyville

2 grandchildren: Seth Allen Haynes & Fiance’ Mackenzie McAnley of Canmer and Shelby Lee Haynes of Hardyville

1 brother & sister-in-law: James W. & JoNell Bunnell of Tennessee

3 sisters & 2 brothers-in-law: Judith A. & William Nelson Howell of Cave City, Patricia Rippy & Marilyn Sue and Ernie King, all of Bowling Green

A granddog: Bella

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death his brother and sister-in-law: Sydney M. and Sue R. Bunnell.

In accordance too Mr. David L. Bunnell’s wishes, cremation was chosen will be laid to rest on the family farm. No formal services will be conducted. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hosparus Health of Barren or to the Zion Baptist Church. These can be made at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home.
