Phyllis Marie Montgomery, 74, of Campbellsville, KY the daughter of the late Loren Keith and Annie Mae (Whited) DeSpain and stepfather Owen DeSpain, was born March 27, 1951 in Indiana and departed this life on Sunday, August 24, 2025 in Greensburg at the Green River Trails. 

She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene. Phyllis loved motorcycles, singing, cooking, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

1 son: Jason Montgomery of Campbellsville

1 sister: Marcia Bell of Campbellsville

4 grandchildren: Summer Marcum & husband Mark, Sienna Montgomery, Destiny Thompson & husband Heath, and Jasey Montgomery

6 great-grandchildren: Avery, Lizzie, Hallie, and Rosie Marcum, Paisley Montgomery, and Oakley Thompson

A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends

Besides her parents and stepfather, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Montgomery, in 2020; two sisters and a brother: Loretta Druin, Betty Harris, and David DeSpain.

Funeral Service: Friday, August 29, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Bro. Leland Humphrey & Bro. Don Atwell officiating

Interment: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens

Visitation: Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 5-8 P.M. and Friday after 8 A.M. at the funeral home
