James Mitchell Buck, 60, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late George Buck and Harold and Edith (Glover) Coakley, was born September 30, 1964 in Taylor County and departed this life on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab.

He was a former carpenter and carpet installer and was of the Baptist Faith.

He enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, and being outdoors.

4 children: Ashley Daugherty & fiancé Shea Youravich of Rineyville, Josh Buck & wife Tessa of Lebanon, Justin Buck and Natalie Burton & husband Daniel all of Campbellsville

2 sisters & 2 brothers: Betty Shively, Peggy Gilpin & husband Les, Danny Buck & wife Brenda, and George Buck all of Campbellsville

10 grandchildren: Hailey, Peyton, Kayla, and Waden Daugherty, Poppy Jade, Aubree, Alyvia, Carter, Keagan Buck and Emma Davis

1 expectant great-grandchild

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Weston Daugherty and Claire Burton.

FUNERAL: Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.

INTERMENT: Green River Memorial Cemetery

VISITATION: after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
