Bobby Dyrell Compton, 79, of the Liletown community of Green County, KY, a son of the late Harry Woodson Compton and Katherine Hash Compton, was born on April 5, 1946 in Metcalfe County and departed this life on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at his home. 

Bobby had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Community Baptist Church. He worked as a carpenter and brick layer. Bobby was best known as “Pa Bobby” by his family and friends who he loved dearly. Pa Bobby was a country boy at heart, starting from riding dirt bikes in his youth, to becoming a master fisherman and hunter.

1 son & daughter-in-law: Greg & Kim Ervin of Liletown

2 grandchildren: Lexi Ervin Engler & husband Collin of Russellville, and Lane Ervin of Liletown

1 great-grandchild: Owen Engler of Russellville

Special family: Darryl Young, Wayne Thompson, and Lile Thompson

A host of other relatives & friends

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant brother.

Funeral Service: Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 3:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with Bro. Neal Price officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Saturday at the funeral home

Graveside Service: Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 3:00pmCT at Liletown Cemetery

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Community Baptist Church Youth Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
