Michael Lee Bagby, 78, left this world peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at his home in Niceville, Florida. He was born on May 15, 1947 in Green County, KY, a son of the late Lallie “Doc” Bagby and Annis Lucille Squires.
Michael grew up on the family farm where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep love for his family. After graduating from Green County High School in 1965, he went on to pursue a career in the United States Air Force, to which he dedicated himself in service to his country for 24 years, including overseas service at the height of the Cold War, completing three remote tours, and retiring highly decorated at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.
Michael was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Wright on April 15, 1968, who preceded him in death on August 29, 2020 and was a pillar of strength and support for his family. Together, they raised two children: Michelle Lee and Mark Lance. He was a devoted father, always there to offer guidance, love, and support. He cherished his family, friends, and co-workers, and his presence brought warmth and joy to those around him. He was known for his unique sense of humor and caring personality.

1 great-grandson: Wells Bird (Florida)
2 brothers: Bendal (Debbie) Bagby of Green County, KY and Marty Bagby of Taylor County, KY
