OBITS

Gretchen Germaine Cobb, 65, Campbellsville, KY

Gretchen Germaine Cobb, 65, of Campbellsville, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Norton’s Hospice Pavilion, surrounded by love and the comforting presence of her family. She was born on August 13, 1959 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the beloved daughter of the late Norman Cobb and her devoted mother, Eliza Ann Cobb (who survives).

From a young age, Gretchen displayed a quiet strength, a deep sense of faith, and a gentle spirit that touched all who knew her. She gave her life to Christ early and became a member of the Broadway Church of Christ. After relocating to Louisville, she continued her walk with God as a member of the Westport Road Church of Christ, where her faith remained a cornerstone of her life.

Gretchen had a lifelong love for learning and graduated from Green County High School in 1977. She pursued higher education at Sullivan University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration followed by a Master’s in Human Resources. A dedicated and hardworking professional, Gretchen spent 16 years at Masonic Homes in Louisville—serving as a dietary supervisor for 10 years and later as a maintenance supervisor for six—until her health began to decline.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially cooking and fishing, two passions that brought her peace and connected her to loved ones across generations.
