Raymond Eugene McKinney, 88, of the McKinney Corner community of Green County, KY, son of the late Alton and Mary Lizzie Meadows McKinney, was born on July 24, 1936 in Green County. He departed this life on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church. Mr. McKinney was an employee of Taylor County RECC for over 47 years, and a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice “Beady” Williams McKinney, on October 16, 2022, having united in marriage on August 18, 1956.

27 great-grandchildren: Sophie, Max, Londyn, Jack, Riley, Micah, Rhys, Ryker, Savanna, Makayla, Ava, Skyler, Taylor, Xander, Braylee, Braxton, Braden, Remmi, Knox, Charlie, McKenzie, Carter, Carly, Bryleigh, Levi, Lilyana, Lia, Guinevere, Conleigh and Kingston

1 great-great grandson: Carson Kemp

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two great-grandchildren: Aiden Wright and Hunter Mings; his siblings: Vallie Wallace, Robert McKinney, Ray McKinney, Roy McKinney, Ralph McKinney and Rex McKinney; and one step-grandson, Scott Cox.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 2:00pmCT at Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Joe Wilcoxson, Bro. Jason Patterson and Rev. Godfrey Jackson officiating

Burial: Greasy Creek Cemetery
