Staff Sergeant Jack Gordon Simpson, Jr., 72, passed away after a short, unexpected but valiant battle with an unknown illness at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY on Friday, June 20, 2025 in the early hours of the morning. He was born on January 3, 1953 to the late Jack and Marie Simpson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Jack joined the United States Military in the Army branch in 1970 and served in Military Intelligence until 1991, when he retired and began his second career as a “doorknob shaker,” as he would say (security officer).
Jack is predeceased by his parents, Jack and Marie; a sister, Donna; and his first wife, Deborah-Kay.

His children: John Robert, Christine (Lake), Melissa McLeod (Mickey), Eddie (Vallen), Tracey Bruce (Steve), and Jacky Holthof (Jamie)
Niece: Erin Al Zayadneh (Sohaib) & her son, Robert (RJ)
1 sister: Mary-Anne Hackney
12 grandchildren: Liam, Gabrielle, Emily, Gavin, Kaylee, Kameron, Aiden, Kayden, Paige, Victoria, Annabelle and Caden (& his daughter Christine’s children)
His faithful companion: Rex

Graveside Service: Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 10:00amCT at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN with full military honors
Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations towards final expenses, which can be made at the funeral home.
