Gloria Carolyn Callahan, 87, of Elkhorn, KY passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 29, 1938 in Yuma, Kentucky, the eldest daughter of the late Merlin and Pauline Christie.
She was united in marriage on December 8, 1956 to Jesse Ray Callahan who preceded her in death on February 7, 2005.
Gloria was a retired employee of Citizens Bank where many in the community knew her working as a teller. She attended Campbellsville Christian Church and was of the Christian faith.
Gloria was a woman of incredible strength, tenacity of spirit, and zest for life. She loved reading, cooking, gardening, and vacationing with Jesse in Florida each fall, where they enjoyed camping and fishing with family at the beach and many meals of freshly caught seafood. During her retirement years, she especially enjoyed her “Sister Trips”, where she and her sisters Marilynn and Sandy travelled together to many exciting places.
