OBITS

Billy Tate Moore, 66, Somerset, KY (formerly of Campbellsville)

Billy Tate Moore, 66, of Somerset, KY formerly of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Holland P. Moore and Barbara Newcomb Moore,, was born January 31, 1959 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:07 P.M., Sunday, June 22, 2025 in Somerset.

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

Billy held several jobs through the Supports for Community Living Program, including feeding birds through the Corp of Engineers, but he was most proud of his job making the boxes for Papa John’s Pizza.

He was a huge University of Kentucky Basketball fan. He loved to talk politics, listen to gospel and country music and spend time with his friends and family. While he was living at home, Billy enjoyed the time his parents were involved with square dancing and he loved going with his dad to do electrical inspections. Living on the farm, Billy took an interest in the rabbits and had names for them including Spotty and Blue Britches.

Even though Billy had his challenges, he was just Billy. He was never treated or viewed any other way than just Billy.
