James Elwood “Butch” Smith, 81, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late William Richard and Mary Agnes (Rigsby) Smith, was born November 23, 1943 in Louisville and departed this life on Monday, June 9, 2025 in Hodgenville at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.

 
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma G. (Sapp) Smith who preceded him in death in 2016.

He was a heating and air technician most of his life and was of the Catholic Faith.

Graveside service: Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, 3441 Old Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Steve Orr officiating

There will NO visitation prior to the service.
