Jim Miller, 82, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late James C. “J.C.” Miller, Jr. and Jane Howell Crouch Miller, was born March 26, 1943 in Marion County, KY. He died at 9:23 P.M., Monday, June 2, 2025 in Lexington.
Jim professed faith in Christ. He was a very proud graduate of Campbellsville High School - Class of 1961, and a graduate of the University of Kentucky, earning a B.S. in Banking and Finance in 1965. He served his country honorably in the United States Army.
Jim retired from Taylor County Bank in 2007, after more than 60 years of service. He worked his way through every area and department, eventually climbing to the role of the President and CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
A natural student of bank operations, under Jim's Leadership the bank grew it's assets from 7 million dollars, to over 22 million dollars by 1976. He loved the bank and the employees, where his sharp wit and warm smile endeared him to everyone he met. Jim also served many years as a board member and Chairman of the Taylor County Industrial Foundation.
Jim, an avid golfer, could often be found at the Campbellsville Country Club and periodically playing at his vacation home at Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on his farm, traveling, boating on Green River Lake, and spending time with his family and pets.
