Brenda Lee Marr Young, 63, of Greensburg, KY, a daughter of Irine Milby Marr of the Gabe community and the late Jacob Marr, was born on June 10, 1961 in Taylor County and passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at Taylor Regional Hospital. 

Brenda had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Along with being a homemaker, she was the best nanny and momma around and loved to cook dinner for all of her family. She was hard working and loved to clean and work in tobacco. She was great at fishing and always made sure to catch more than her husband, Gobel. Most importantly she loved her Jesus and everyone around her felt that.

2 daughters & a son-in-law: Angela “Angie” Pierce & Matt of Greensburg and Cassie Lee Leigh of Greensburg

Her mother: Irine Milby Marr of Gabe

3 grandchildren: Cage Matthew Pierce, Channing Ryan Pierce, and Isaiah Edrick Leigh

1 sister & brother-in-law: Connie & Billy Davenport of Hart County

1 brother & sister-in-law: Douglas “Doug” Marr & Phebie of London, KY

Sister-in-law: Pat Marr of Green County

Besides her father, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Marr.

Funeral Service: Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 1:00pmCT at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with Bro. Greg Whitlow officiating

Burial: Family Cemetery

Visitation: Friday, June 6, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Saturday after 7:00amCT at the funeral home
