Elizabeth “Diane” Murphy Bland, 71, of Campbellsville, KY passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025 at home surrounded by family. She was born on November 29, 1953 at Rosary Hospital in Campbellsville to the late James “Bill” Murphy and Ella Frances Cull Murphy.
Diane was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church until her death. She graduated from Taylor County High School in 1971. Diane worked at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, graduated from Campbellsville University in 2000, and worked in the Medical Records Department of Taylor Regional Hospital for 19 years. Most importantly, her life was rich with love and devotion centered around her family.

Her husband of 53 years: Richard “Ricky” Bland of Calvary
2 daughters: Christie Metcalf (Brad) of Bardstown, KY and Laura Gupton (Lee) of Cincinnati, Ohio
3 grandchildren: Katlynn Metcalf, Morgan and Evan Gupton
2 sisters: Mary Thomas (Bernard) of Calvary and Betty Burris (Danny) of Russell Springs
1 brother: Billy Murphy of Campbellsville
Many cousins, nieces & nephews
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Morris (Jimmy).
