Della Curnutte, 90, of Greensburg, KY passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at her home. She was born on January 19, 1935 in South Dakota and departed this life on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at her home. 

Della had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith. She had a master’s degree in nursing, worked as a school nurse, and for Dr. Desimone as a scrub nurse. She also taught at the Green County Vocational School.

She united in marriage to Ivan Curnutte on October 2, 1956 and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2021. She was also preceded in death by a son, Anthony Ellis “Tony” Curnutte in 2007.

SURVIVORS:

1 son: Mike “Alfie” Curnutte of Greensburg

Daughter-in-law: Katherine Curnutte Farmer of Lexington 

3 grandchildren: Cy Curnutte of Springfield, Rachel Curnutte of Lexington, and Lauren Curnutte of Florida 

1 great-grandchild: Kain McKinney of Florida 

Following Mrs. Curnutte’s wishes, she was accepted in the University of Kentucky Willed Body Program.

Celebration of Life: Friday, June 20, 2025 at 11:00amCT at the Greensburg Community Center. Friends & family may gather from 9:00am-11:00amCT on Friday at the Community Center.

Donations are requested to the Alzheimers Association and can be made through the funeral home.
