Charlotte Milby Stumph, 89, Green County, KY


Charlotte Milby Stumph, 89, was born May 11, 1935 in Green County, KY to the late William C. and Lilly B. Thompson Milby. She departed this life on Friday, April 18, 2025 in Summersville.

 

Charlotte had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Hodges Chapel Church and was the organist for many years. She also served as choir director in Louisville and Greensburg for many years.

 

She was a retired teacher having been an educator in Jefferson County and Green County for 36 years. She was also an active member of the Women’s Republican Club for many years.

 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Stumph on September 26, 2016; a grandchild, Dustin Eitniear; three brothers: Ivion R. Milby, Garland B. Milby, and Ronny G. Milby; and one sister, Marcella Lange.

 

SURVIVORS:

2 sons & their wives: Tim & Amanda Stumph of Green County, and Rob & Vickie Stumph of Henderson, KY

1 daughter: Judy Cole of Green County

6 grandchildren: Alison & Travis Phillips, Mason & Lauren Stumph, Whitney & Josh Judd, Meredith Stumph, Rachel & Hunter Matney, and Grayson Cole

10 great-grandchildren: Coledon Freedle, Noleigh Phillips, Graylin Phillips, Peyton Judd, Jamezen Phillips, Bowen Matney, Cameryn Judd, Katie Matney, Abigail Stumph, and Amelia Matney

1 sister: Marie Perkins of Louisville, KY

A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends

 

Funeral Service: Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 11:00amCT at Foster-Toler Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Merle Young officiating

 

Entombment: Campbellsville Memorial Garden Mausoleum 

 

Visitation: After 9:00amCT on Wednesday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home

 

Pallbearers: Alison Phillips, Mason Stumph, Whitney Judd, Meredith Stumph, Rachael Matney, Grayson Cole, Coledon Freedle, Noleigh Phillips

 

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Gideon Bible Fund and those can be made at the funeral home.
