Joyce Simpson Patterson, 87, of Fry Ridge community of Green County, KY, daughter of the late James Ogden Simpson and Margaret Wooldridge Simpson, was born on February 12, 1938 in Green County and departed this life on April 10, 2025 at Green River Trails Nursing Home in Greensburg.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She worked as a set sleeve operator for Fruit of the Loom and for Green County School System as a school bus driver and in the cafeteria for several years. She dedicated many years as a Foster Parent and helped to raise many children.

11 grandchildren: CJ Patterson, Derek & Megan Patterson, Tony & Chasity Bagby, Alicia & Darren Waskom, Jason & Amanda Patterson, Jeremy & Ashley Patterson, Joshua & Emily Morgan, Jordan Morgan, Wesley Patterson, Austin & Summer Patterson, and Grace Patterson
