Eugene “Gene” Fred Taube, 93, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Fred Taube and Blanche Holcomb Taube, was born in Knox County, IN on June 17, 1931 and departed this life on March 25, 2025 in Campbellsville.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Woodlawn Christian Church and had also served as Assistant Minister of Pastoral Care in Michigan, and also served as an Elder. He was a veteran having served his country honorably in the United States Army in Korea. He was a factory worker and a former employee at Dollywood. He loved gardening, cooking, landscaping, and reading. He also loved playing board games and spending time with his family.

His wife: Hedy Herter Taube of Campbellsville
3 children: Butch Taube & wife Rhonda of Texas, Vicki Barnes & husband Bruce of Florida, and Scott Taube & wife Beth of Campbellsville
5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren
1 sister: Bonnie Florey of Michigan
The family chose cremation and no services are scheduled.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Micah Bruno, one sister and brother: Doris Buck and Bill Taube.
