Charles Edward “Eddie” Murphy, 70, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Charlie Wilbur Murphy and Daisy (Wright) Hoosier, was born September 15, 1954 in Taylor County and departed this life on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in Danville.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lena (Mikel) Murphy; a brother, Denny Murphy; and a sister, Linda White.

Eddie was of the Catholic Faith, a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, a farmer, former fireman and was a "jack of all trades".

1 daughter: Patricia Michelle Murphy of Louisiana

4 sisters: Mary Cox, Barbara Abell, Geraldine McCarty, and Carolyn Lee & husband Larry, all of Lebanon

1 brother: Jimmy Ward & wife Sandy of Alabama

2 grandchildren: Gracie Lynn Murphy and Presley Schnipp

Funeral Service: Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00amET in the chapel of L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY

Burial: Robinson Creek Cemetery

Visitation: Friday, March 21, 2025 from 5:00pm-8:00pmET at the funeral home
