Geraldine Young Ramsey, 79, was born August 23, 1945 in Green County, KY, a daughter of the late Otis and Clovis Young. She peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Green River Trials Nursing Facility, surrounded by her family.
After accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Savior on March 11, 2025, she ran into His arms the following day.
Geraldine united in marriage to Robert V. Ramsey on December 17, 1968, who preceded her in death on September 9, 2002. They spent many of their years in Tampa, Florida before moving back to Kentucky in 1998.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her siblings: Wendell Young, Leon Young, Bessie Mae Ferguson and Phyllis Bishop.
She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and deer, working puzzles, playing cards and the lottery.

2 children & their spouses: Margaret Parson (Jeff Wheat) of Campbellsville and Roy & Dorothy Parson of Russell Springs
7 grandchildren: Jason & Brandy Tucker, Megan & Seth Covarrubius, Shawna & John Shuffett, and Lily Parson
3 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild
4 siblings: Judy Posey, Peggy Meadows, Wilma Whitlock and Odell Young
Special great-niece: Maddie Jo Vaughn
Per her wishes, cremation was chosen and no formal service will be held at this time.
Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg is in charge of the arrangements.
