Taylor Wheat, 89, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Gobel Wheat and Lora Ann Keith Wheat, was born July 23, 1935 and departed this life on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at T.J. Health Columbia. 
 

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Andrew Methodist Church. He was a former employee of Fruit of The Loom for 42 years, Kessler Realty for 30 plus years, and was a mechanic for Tom Gupton’s Garage. He enjoyed fishing, stock cars, drag racing, and cooking.

His loving wife: Geraldine Dickens Wheat of Campbellsville

2 sons: Doug Wheat & wife Patricia, and Jeff Wheat (Margaret Parson) both of Campbellsville

2 grandchildren: Jason Wheat (Kristen), and Amy Watkins (Sam)

2 step-grandchildren; Jason Tucker (Brandy) and Amanda Beard

5 great-grandchildren, 4 step great-grandchildren, & 2 great-great grandchildren

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Funeral Service: Monday, March 17, 2025 at 1:00pmET at  L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Brent Gupton and Bro. Abraham Livingston officiating 

Burial: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens
