Shelby Jean Bennett Moore, 88, of Greensburg, KY, a daughter of the late Samuel Newton Bennett and Rhoda Lena Hunt Bennett, was born on January 3, 1937 in Taylor County and departed this life on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Separate Baptist Church. She had her own in-home childcare service which she did for many years. Her favorite place to be, other than at home with her family, was at the Smokey Mountains.
She was united in marriage to William C. “Bill” Moore on June 15, 1957 who preceded her on death on May 3, 2011.

2 daughters & sons-in-law: Kathy & Eugene Janes of Russell Springs and Pam & Tony Compton of Columbia
1 son & daughter-in-law: Troy & Jenni Moore of Greensburg
7 grandchildren: Jeremy and Jo Janes, Robbie and Amanda Janes, Benjamin and Jessica Compton, TC and Chasity Moore, Shelby and Christian Goodin, Sam Moore, and Grant Karnes
8 great-grandchildren & 5 great-great-grandchildren
Sister-in-law: Lillian Moore
Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her siblings: Opal Wright, Beulah Quinn, Frances Knopp, Mae Bell, and Lawrence Hunt.

Burial: Liberty Separate Baptist Church Cemetery
Visitation: Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 4:30pm-8:00pmCT and Sunday after 7:00amCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home
