Nelson "Eddie" Ervin, 77, of Green County, KY, son of the late William P. Ervin and Lucille Edwards Ervin, was born on April 3, 1947 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the UofL Hospital in Louisville.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Little Barren Separate Baptist Church. He was a retired logger, an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being outdoors but most days he could be found at the “Coffee Shop” arguing politics or telling tall tales with his brothers. When home he could be found enjoying a western and a hot cup of coffee.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Judy Milby Ervin on November 7, 2003, having united in marriage on February 22, 1969.

3 children: Pam & Patrick Avery, Tammy & Jonathon Pannell, and Thomas & Megan Ervin all of Green County
5 grandchildren: Allye Matney, John-Connor Pannell, Lily Ervin, Harrison Pannell, and Lynnon Ervin
3 sisters & brothers-in-law: Barbara & Frankie Young, Eva & Doyle Edwards, and Lisa & Kerry Jeffries all of Green County
3 brothers & sisters-in-law: Larry & Nellie Ervin, Gill & Jennie Lou Ervin, and Terry Ervin all of Green County
