Robert Ferguson, 74, Greensburg, KY

 

Robert Dale Ferguson, 74, of Greensburg, KY, son of the late William Leon Ferguson and Virginia Louise Kraft Ferguson, was born on November 5, 1950 in the Knob Lick community of Metcalfe County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at his home. 

 

Robert had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church where he was a deacon for 48 years. He was a machine operator for Parker-Kalon for 27 years and then retired after 13 years with Ron and Brenda’s Transportation. Robert was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM where he was a past Master. He loved to hunt and fish and was a Civil War history fanatic.

 

SURVIVORS:

His wife of 50 years: Brenda Kay Robertson Ferguson of Greensburg

2 daughters & sons-in-law: Angie & Mike Price and Hilary & Eddie Sharpe of Greensburg

4 grandchildren: Alex and Katelyn Price, Maylee Price, Chase Sharpe and Nolan Sharpe all of Greensburg.

1 great-grandchild: Karson Price

1 sister & 2 brothers: Phyllis McDonald of Indiana, Jerry Ferguson of Missouri, and Gary Lee Ferguson of Munfordville

Brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Elwood & Virginia Robertson and Freddie & Regina Robertson of Greensburg; Gary & Sharon Robertson of Campbellsville

 

He was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister: Ronald Ferguson, Floyd Ferguson and Lori Michelle Ferguson.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 1:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with Bro. Brad Davis and Bro. Robert Adkins officiating

 

Burial: Macedonia Cemetery

 

Visitation: Monday, February 17, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Tuesday after 7:00amCT at the funeral home

 

Masonic Service: Monday evening at 6:00pmCT at the funeral home.  All Master Masons are to meet at the lodge at 5:00pmCT. 

 

Memorials are suggested to the Macedonia Cemetery Fund or to the Gideon Bible Fund, and can be made at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home.
