Lois Elaine Robertson Gorin, 72, Campbellsville, KY


Lois Elaine Robertson Gorin, 72, of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late David Clyde Robertson and Obie Frances Milburn Robertson, was born June 15, 1952 in Lebanon, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in Lebanon. 

 

Lois professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Fruit of The Loom for 11 years and then spent 21 years as a Teacher Assistant at the Taylor County Elementary School. Lois always cherished the relationships she made with the students and teachers. She liked softball in her younger days and later enjoyed reading, gardening, flowers, and feeding the hummingbirds. Her main priority was always her children and spending time with her grandchildren.

 

SURVIVORS:

Her loving husband: Maurice Gorin having united in marriage on June 26, 1971

2 children: Amanda Gorin Mattingly & husband Patrick of Lebanon, and Jonathan Brett Gorin & wife Michele of Elizabethtown

5 grandchildren: Izzy Gorin, Millie Gorin, Bexley Gorin, Lainie Mattingly, and Brett Mattingly

1 sister: Sharon Pinkston (Onis) of Murfreesboro, TN

1 brother: Greg Robertson (Vickie) of Winter Haven, FL

Sister-in-law: Becky Gorin

 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Kevin Robertson and David Robertson, and one brother-in-law, Edward Gorin.

 

The Funeral Service for Lois Elaine Robertson Gorin will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville with cremation to follow.

Bro. Greg Lockard will officiate.

 

The family has requested visitation on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.

 

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to caregivers Judy Loveless, Rosemary May, and Jasmine Clemmons, and the nurses and CNA’s at the Village of Lebanon for their care and dedication.

 

 In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Hosparus of Green River and those can be made at the funeral home.
