David Lewis Johnson, 92, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Joseph Martin Johnson and Pauline Peterson Johnson, was born November 21, 1932 in Adair County, KY. He died at 6:46 P.M., Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in Campbellsville.
David professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. David became an elder March 19, 1967. He was also a Trustee, served as Superintendent of Sunday School and was on multiple other committees, including the Building and Grounds, administration and others. David sang in the choir for many years and loved serving the Lord through his church in any way he could. David and his brother, Norman, started Johnson Motors. In 1980, Norman semi-retired and David took over Johnson Motors, which he ran for 73 years.
He united in marriage to Norma Jean Cox December 5, 1952 and she preceded him in death on June 28, 2022.

1 daughter: Cindy Johnson of Campbellsville
5 grandchildren: Cody Gowin, Ciera Brooke Mattingly, Amanda Spaw & husband Ricky, Patrick Michael, and Matthew Michael
6 great-grandchildren: Haley Gribbins, Makenzie Gribbins, Taylor Mattingly, Tate Mattingly and Beau Michael
1 great-great-granddaughter: Avril Gribbins
2 nephews: Allen Johnson and Lynn Johnson
Caregivers: Marbelis Eckhardt, Mike Bogue and Carol McFarland
Several other nieces & nephews and many other relatives & friends
David was also preceded in death by two brothers: Norman Johnson and Doug Johnson.
