James Perry Reams, 80, of Elizabethtown, KY, son of the late William “Bo” Reams and Lois Andrews Reams, was born February 14, 1944 in Lamont, FL. He departed this life on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
Perry united in marriage to Ms. Jane Diana Wingate on November 12, 1982 (who survives).
Perry built custom homes for more than 30 years. He served his country honorably as a Green Beret in the Army Special Forces. Perry professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

4 grandchildren: Sarah Bunnell of Campbellsville; John Talley of Elizabethtown; Bobby Talley & wife Mary of Irvington; and Marsha Talley of Elizabethtown
2 great-grandchildren: Alissa Talley and Kevin Talley of Irvington
2 sisters: Annette Hughes & husband Dale of Crawfordsville, FL and Vivian Hudson & husband Larry of Carson City, NV
2 brothers: Paul Reams of Tallahassee, FL and Alan Reams & wife Paula of Tallahassee, FL
In addition to his parents & wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harvey Reams and a stepson, James LaDue.
