Anthony Earl Pierce, 68, Elizabethtown, KY (formerly of Green County)

 
Anthony Earl Pierce, 68, of Elizabethtown, KY departed this life on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at his home. He was born December 24, 1956 in Salina, Kansas to the late Ray and Ruthene Pierce.
 
He spent his early days in Pierce, KY and attended a one room school house at Vineyard before changing to Pierce Elementary. He then moved in junior high to Glasgow, KY. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1974. He attended Western Kentucky University for a degree in electrical engineering. He had three children with Lynne Kerry Pierce in the 1980’s. His career as an electrical engineer spanned over 35 years, working both locally and with international partners, and ending at EMB Corp in Elizabethtown.
 
He gave his life to Christ at an early age, was a member of Heartland Free Will Baptist Church for 17 years and taught Sunday School. He spent his life singing Southern Gospel music with The Pierce Family Quartet, Victorious, and with many variations of family and friends as a fantastic bass singer and bass guitar player. He shared his talents at such venues as the Grand Ole Opry and the National Quartet Convention.
 
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Junior & Verna Ruthene Wallace Pierce, maternal grandparents: Vernard & Iona Chaudoin Wallace, and paternal grandparents: John Ira & Betty Wood Judd Pierce.
 
SURVIVORS:
His wife of 23 years: Mildred (Miller) Pierce
Siblings: Gale Hall (Glenn), Fredia Poff (Anthony), and Stephen Pierce (Deanna)
3 children: Timothy David Pierce (Karen), Dr. Kristi Lynne Pierce, and Jeffrey Daniel Pierce (Megan)
Stepchildren: Chadd Edward Smith (Hatice) and Dawna Michelle Benningfield (Brack)
3 grandsons: Jaxon Ray Pierce, Tanner Edward Pierce, and Aiden Koray Edward Smith
Aunts & uncles: Lottie Pierce, Bonnie & James Allen Wallace
