Alma Arvel Mays VanArsdall, 97, of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Walter Edward Mays and Lydia Margaret Wright Mays, was born on July 30, 1927 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at her home.
Mrs. VanArsdall had made a profession of faith in Christ and was saved as teenager. She was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church, a homemaker, and a member of the VFW Post #5813 Auxiliary.
She was united in marriage for 59 years to Victor Hausley Vanarsdall on December 23, 1944, who preceded her in death on March 12, 2004.

2 sons & a daughter-in-law: David R. VanArsdall and Dillard & Janet VanArsdall of Greensburg

Besides her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Webster Vanarsdall on August 31, 1982; a daughter-in-law, Patty Vanarsdall on October 15, 2022; two grandchildren: Erica Rose Montgomery on October 16, 1995 and Cody James Pierce on October 12, 2023; brothers and sisters: Irene Milby, Cloudus Mays, Cecil Mays, Harris Mays, Louvera Wright, Claudine Bonta, Thelma Mays, Dalma Mays.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 1:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Bro. Casey Durrett officiating
Burial: Judd Cemetery
Visitation: Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Wednesday after 7:00amCT at the funeral home
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Oak Grove Cemetery Fund and the Judd Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
