Kenneth Ray Pierce, 79, of Taylor County, KY, son of the late Ogle Lee Pierce and Allene Hall Pierce, was born on October 31, 1945 in Greensburg and departed this life on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Kenneth had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He worked as a photographer for Supertone Studio for many years and as a teacher at Taylor County and Marion County Schools for a combined 25 years. When he was younger, Kenneth worked as a mailman, and also drove a dump truck which he operated to help to build the Green River Dam. He was a Gideon through the Green County Gideon Camp, a member of the Greensburg Historical Society, on the board of Homeplace and the board for the Reath Center which is a horse therapeutic center. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and going golfing, while also spending quality time with his family.
He was united in marriage for 57 years to Margy Lois Allen Pierce on September 12, 1964, who preceded him in death on May 7, 2022.
