Zelda Lou Perkins, 77, Hodgenville, KY

 

Zelda Lou Perkins, 77, of Hodgenville, KY, daughter of the late William Goble Perkins and Ivy Lewis Milby Perkins, was born on June 15, 1947 in Greensburg, KY and passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.

 

Zelda had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She loved to go to yard sales to shop for deals, making different creations with beads, listening to music and watching cartoons. She always had a love for animals.

 

SURVIVORS:

1 sister: Betty Sue Dotson of Hodgenville

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends

 

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by seven brothers: James Perkins, Billy Perkins, Allen Perkins, Evertt Perkins, Pete Perkins, Don Perkins, and Shorty Perkins and by five sisters: Anna Mary Brockman, Sara Matt Allen, Barbara Allen, Katherine Underwood, and Louise Murphy.

Funeral Service: Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 1:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with Bro. Shannon McCubbin officiating

 

Burial: Pleasant Valley Cemetery

 

Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Saturday at the funeral home

 

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund or to the Pleasant Valley Cemetery Fund and can be made at the funeral home.
