Paul Sherman Gunter, 81 of Campbellsville, KY passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025. He was born April 28, 1943 in Louisville, KY to the late Paul H. and Edith Lee Gunter.
Sherman professed his faith in Christ as a young man. He had many jobs during his life from building interstate roads to ending his working career at the Marion County School Board of Education after 34 years of service. Sherman truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, spending time with family and friends, playing a good game of checkers, Rook, pitching horseshoes, fishing, playing cornhole, and bowling. He mastered every game and had many awards, trophies, titles and rings earned through his accomplishments.
Sherman united to the love of his life, Ola Sallee on November 23, 1961, who preceded him in death on October 8, 2007.

3 children: Paul Anthony Gunter, Sherry (Jeff) Kerr, and Karen (Glenn) Shuck
4 grandchildren: Sarah (Dallas) Coomer, Thomas Lee (Autumn) Kerr, Marshall Paul Shuck, and Dennis Michael Shuck
12 great-grandchildren: Ryan, Kelci, Macy, Nicholas, Ozzy, Axel, Shayla, Denver, Winston, Scarlett, Della Jo, and Nova Jean
2 sisters: Jean (Buford) Sallee and Kathy Spray
1 brother: Eddie (Vernice) Gunter
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily Shuck.

Burial: Old Liberty Cemetery
