Linda Louise Kessler VanArsdale, 83, Greensburg, KY

 

Linda Louise Kessler VanArsdale, 83, of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Amos Kessler and Margarite Lile Kessler, was born on July 16, 1941 in Greensburg and departed this life on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Baptist East - Louisville. 

 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder and in the YACS women’s group. She worked as a case worker for the social security office and was also the proud Co-Owner of Central Furniture Company. Linda was a former Jaycee and served on the Junior Miss Board for many years.

 

SURVIVORS:

Her husband of 63 years: Ray Thomas “Tommy” VanArsdale of Greensburg 

1 daughter & son-in-law: Laura Crickett & Mel Smith of Greensburg

2 grandchildren: Paul Thomas (& Audrie) Smith of Richmond and Sydney Smith of Greensburg

1 great-grandchild: Xavier Logan Smith of Richmond

Brother-in-law: Robert VanArsdale of Greensburg

Sister-in-law: Rhonda Wright of Greensburg

Special friends: Nikki Curry, Connie Huston, and Sue Palmer

A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends

 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Becky Bell; two sisters-in-law: Joann VanArsdale and Era VanArsdale; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Wright.

Funeral Service: Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 11:00amCT at Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brenson Bishop officiating

 

Burial: Greasy Creek Cemetery
 

Visitation: Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT at Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Thursday after 7:00amCT at the church 

 

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Greasy Creek Cemetery, which can be made at the funeral home.
