Phyllis Young Bishop, 74, of LaFayette, Indiana, and formally of Greensburg, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024. She was born to Otis Young and Ivy Clovis Judd Young on December 7, 1950.
She was a City Bus Driver for Tippecanoe County, Indiana for over 25 years. Phyllis was an avid mushroom hunter and traveler of the Caribbean. She enjoyed cruises with her family. Nana was known for always having popsicles on hand in the neighborhood. Two of her favorite things to do was to have sleepovers with her great-grandson, Kyngston and also to go on Chinese buffett dates with her family. She also enjoyed the many years she has gotten to spend very close with her son and daughter-in-Law, Scott & Joanie.
In addition to her parents, she was also proceeded in death by her late husband, William “Bill” Bishop; one sister, Bessie Mae Ferguson; two brothers: Leon Young and Wendell Otis Young; along with many long-time friends & family.
SURVIVORS:
2 sons & a daughter-in-law: Bryon & Sally Brogan of Green County, KY and Scott Brogan of LaFayette, IN
5 grandchildren: Jedidiah (Alys) Brogan, Serena (Cody) Armes, Jadelyn Kay Brogan, William Brogan, and Daytona Brogan
3 great-grandchildren: Kyngston, Memphis, and Brock
Many more nieces & nephews including special niece, Donna (Mark) Faulkner and cousin, Barbara (Lenny) Haase
4 sisters & 1 brother: Judy Posey, Geraldine Ramsey, Peggy Meadows, Wilma Whitlock, and Odell Young all of Green County, KY

Honoring the family's wishes, cremation was chosen and no service is scheduled at this time.
The family has asked that you express your sympathy by turning on Rocky Top by the Osborne Brothers and dance and sing to it, as it was her favorite thing to do.
