OBITS

Fred Phillips, 79, Campbellsville, KY

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fred Phillips, 79, who left us on December 7, 2024. Born to Fred and Mary Phillips, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

A proud graduate of St. Joseph’s College with a bachelor’s degree in management, Fred went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was honored with the Commemorative Medal for Meritorious Service for his dedication and bravery. After his military service, he built a successful career in retail management and regional management for a large utility company in Midland, where his leadership was respected by colleagues and peers alike. Later in life, he worked as a mudlogger for Selman and Associates, where he continued to bring his strong work ethic and integrity to every project.
