Cheryl C. Giles, 65, of Knifley, KY, the daughter of the late Robert Thomas Henry and Anna Marlene (Higdon) Wakefield, was born November 6, 1959 in Jefferson County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, December 19, 2024 in Columbia at T.J. Health Columbia. 

She was a homemaker and of the Christian Faith. Cheryl enjoyed gardening, puzzle books and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband, James Lewis Giles and two sisters: Sandra Gayle Large and Gloria Denise Wakefield.

SURVIVORS:

4 children: Michele Giles (& companion Steve Cortie), Paula Osinger and Cory Giles of Knifley, and Dawn McGuffin Crew (& husband Adrian) of Columbia

1 step-daughter: Cindy Trent of Florida

1 brother: Thomas Henry Mitchell Wakefield of Elk Horn

1 half-sister: Diane Horrine & husband Bobby of Indiana

8 grandchildren: Brock & Brittany Burkhart, Brooklynn Giles, Braxton Osinger, Sarah Parrott, Rihannah, Jaecee & Gavin Giles

1 step-grandchild: Haley

1 great-grandchild: Reyna Gasper

To honor the request of Mrs. Giles, cremation rites will be conducted by L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
