OBITS

Gladys Frances Pittman George, 83, Greensburg, KY

Gladys Frances Pittman George, 83, of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Val Adams Pittman and Ellen Frances Garrett Pittman, was born on Wednesday, October 29, 1941 in Bradfordsville, Kentucky and departed this life on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Hospice Care.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was faithful to pray for her family and friends. She loved to do puzzles of all shapes and sizes, spending time with her family and cooking for them. She was always taking care of others and would never fail to say “Love You More” before walking out the door or hanging up the phone. She would stay up all night watching the Game Show Network, Golden Girls, Friends, and Gunsmoke, which she was watching when she passed peacefully with family by her side. She was mesmerized by Matt Dillon and all his movies. She enjoyed singing fun songs for everyone and playing the guitar. She would faithfully pray every night for hours to “Heavenly Father”, as she would say, and never failed to tell others how much she loved them. Her favorite people called her Mama and Granny, and there will never be another one like her.
